October is Breast Cancer Month

October marks National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. McShane's employees will kick off the month with a Passionately Pink luncheon, where everyone is encouraged to donate to the Susan G. Komen Fund for the Cure. McShane's will match every employee donation.

McShane's Works with Bishop Noll

Founded in 1921, both McShane's and Bishop Noll Institute (BNI) are active members of the Northwest Indiana community. McShane's has provided BNI with office furniture, equipment, and technical services to enhance the school.

Most recently, McShane's and McShane's Business Technologies (MBT) worked together with BNI to provide each student with a Toshiba laptop, to provide equipment for more flexibility creating in-house marketing materials, and to provide a speedy networked black and white system for all teachers and administrative staff.

The laptop program designed by MBT specifically for BNI has contributed to a 50% increase in enrollment of 7th and 8th grade students. By 2010, every single student at BNI will be networked with an individual laptop.

The Canon IRC3220 color system implemented for the Development Department of BNI has helped the department create in-house marketing materials, including letterhead.

Lisa Woodruff, Director of Development at BNI, says, "We have saved so much money by creating letterhead electronically as we need it, rather than ordering mass quantities from an outside source. Now we use that extra money to buy higher quality paper, which further enhances our image." READ MORE

Lakeshore Chamber Expo
